Decorate Walls Without Paint

Even without paint, there are ways to decorate and add some color to your walls. A big mirror instantly dresses up a wall, and can add color by reflecting other colors.

Vinyl decals come in all sorts of different patterns, colors and textures they are a great way to start decorating your wall. First, find a pattern that you like, and cut it out.

Figure out where you would like your decal to go, and mark the wall with a pencil accordingly. Then, peel off the backing of your decal. Go slow, and take care to make sure you don't rip your pattern.

Apply the decal to the wall. Press down firmly and take your time, use a squeegee for some extra help

Plates are another way to add some color on your walls. Use plates of different sizes, shapes, and textures, and your possibilities for decorations are endless. First, create a map on paper to make sure the design will work on the wall. Label the back of your plates with coordinating numbers.

Then, attach a plate hanger on each plate for easy hanging. Any hardware store should carry them.

Put some finishing nails on the wall, and hang your plates.
